Human reactions and response!!

Reactions to such things!!

On one of our classes we were discussing the difference between pleasure and joy.
"Pleasure is something that makes you addict to that particular thing. Whereas joy is the satisfaction you receive at the end of something you did."

We were also discussing how attachments works. Our sir told us about a student, who is very quite and innocent and he continued to say how that particular student reacted when she missed her mobile in the bank. She was not just angry , she was shouting at the staffs. And all of the sudden when she saw the sir there , she became silent again with respect. Without judgement sir asked all of us , what made her react the way ??

And he made us think . He then came up with the answer of attachment!!! He explained it well.

But my thoughts were still running, I couldn't accept the answer. I don't know why. I felt something more. Though I didn't tell him what I actually thought.

My thoughts flowed like , Does it really attachment?? Or the Value ?? Or the Consequences the mind haven't prepared for??
Let me explain.
We don't actually worry about things that aren't important/valuable to us . For in case if she missed a pen , she might not have shouted like that . If she missed her favourite pen , she might have reacted.

I do remember the incident, where I got so angry and so I cried as I couldn't show the anger. One of my friends missed my notebook in which I kept my college ID. I got angry and I cried badly. 'People around me consoled me saying it's just a note and ID. You can get the ID by paying ₹50 , then why are you crying.'

I didn't answer them. But actually I didn't cry for my ID. I was actually thinking what if , if I haven't noticed my note was missing and found out just on the morning of the end semester exam as we always look for our ID during those days alone. I would be stressed out. And it's ok I got to know it before.
I cried for my missing notebook. It actually contained lots of information that I prepared for the exam. All the notes that I took for the whole year spending my whole time was missed, not because of me but just my friend. That's what made me cry. I couldn't get my time back. I couldn't write the whole year efforts in just 2 days before the exam. That's what made me cry. Even I tried to explain they might not understand the value that the notebook holds in my life.

The value we hold for something make us react in such way. Maybe the student who reacted in such a way , might have something important/valuable in her mobile , which she may thought could be brought back.

And the second thing is consequence our mind create. The construction of our mind is damn great. Actually our mind prepare for the state of loss / state of negative experience even before we go through it.
For example if you put a pen , you just take it without any reaction (not the pen you value). Because your mind knows just putting the pen down can't affect it in either way.
But if you put your fav pen , you will take a look for even a mild scratch in that. You will get disappointed. You know the value it hold. And your mind doesn't prepare for the consequences of something you value more. We can also take the example of the student, her mind haven't prepared for the consequences she gonna face after missing her mobile. She might have to go home , she might have to get scolding from her parents or she might not get other mobile for some days. This might made her react in such a way.

This actually suits in life to , if someone breakup , the consequences you mind haven't made for that particular thing will affect you. If you are prepared , that is your mind has prepared for the time of break up , you won't actually look the same way of not knowing it at all.

If your mind prepared you can't live without your love, you will even try attempting suicide if that love leave you. That's how the consequences created in brain/mind is important!!

To put it in a nutshell , Most reactions are out of value you hold and the consequences your mind haven't prepared/have prepared to a particular situation.
